Honestly I don't know, but I don't want to be the ginnea pig. They probably aren't set up for AWD.

on the rear axle what would be the difference?

wouldn't you want less weight shift off the front end since you'd want the front to help.

OK, I just pulled my A-arms off after driving for about 1000 miles with this setup. The mounts on the A-arm appear to be fine and the crappy stock welds have held up fine so far although I will be reinforcing them now. One thing that I noticed though is that the rubber isolator in the coil-over deformed and allowed the metal sleeve to move up quite a bit:

Anyone else ever noticed this and know of a way to prevent it. Is there a harder rubber isolator available that is less prone to deform?

yeah but if its adjustable, wouldn't you be able to tune for that?

well since i have alot of time with c/o i can tell you the bigger the shock the longer it will last (more material for the heat to disperse) i personally like a teflon lined chro-molly hyme in my shocks, and in my opinion and many of my friends who race proffesionally love hyper co coils.

with c/o you need th have a decent size shaft because in the end result that is what your truck is riding on.

if you have ever tried to cut some of the factory welds you will know they are really strong, dont look great but are hard to cut. you would be surprised what they will take. i ought to know i race off-road with an s-10(no, its nowhere near stock), and they take the abuse better than most trucks.

a little trimming to fit a larger shock would be a walk in the park for me, not everyone but i think it is easy.

most minitrucks i do have a 500 rate on them with long travel a-arms. but with added weight and a street punder only i could see 600 but it sounds a little stiff but that really depends on valving wich has more to do with ride than anything, spring rate = ride hight , valving has to do with ride . there are compression and rebound, if either are off you ride will suffer. it is not cheap to have them revalved either so before you buy something off the shelf , know what you are getting into. it sounds like a hell of a deal to buy through the vendors vs learning the hard way as i have with other trucks.

100 bucks is nothing in compared to what you can spend learning all this stuff, i know ive spent thousands.

A bigger shock would most likely require a larger spring. Currently a 2.25" spring is used, The current shock is already intended to 2.5" spring coils, that is why E-RUE turns them down. The only way to use larger shock than currently used with a 2.25" spring is to find a spring with thinner coils. Using a 2.5" is really really tight tolerance (I almost think its too tight). Trust me in that extra 1/4" make huge difference in the three tight area's.
