Use the force to fix it
But not without a fight. I searched and found the diagram that shows what plug wires go where on the dist. I made a diagram of what the previous owner had done cause he marked the wires and it looked alittle odd. So I start unplugging mine, smashing my hand while pulling off the rotor AND CURSING LIKE A DRUNKEN SAILOR. I had to trace all the wires to the respective cylinders to be sure what was what. So I put the originals wires back on in the right positions according to what I downloaded off the archives. Sure as shit my truck won't start.
At this point I am alittle pissed cause my hand hurts and my truck doesn't run. I had to move all the wires one position counter clock wise in order for the truck to start and run.
Does this mean my timing is off?
I started to take out the plugs and I am happy I did cause they look like doggie doo. I have new wires to replace the others and I am hoping this will solve my WOT stumble @ 3000 to 3500 RPM.
Pics will follow as soon as I can take them.
I am going today to get a timing light so I can see what it is. But the wire position on the cap perplexes me.
