Greetings all,
This is a problem for the technically/mechanically oriented gurus in our trucks.
Two weeks back I took the Syclone to Technical Inspection to renew the registration. The inspection indicated that the Carbon Monoxide level was 6.5% where the maximum allowable limit was 4.5%.
A week later, due to electrical diagnoses of the Sending Unit inside the Fuel Tank, I asked the mechanic to clean the tank content as well. In addition, I cleaned the Air Filter using vaccume cleaner, as I did not drive the truck more than 100 KM since I installed the air filter last year. In addition, I asked the mechanic to clean the TBI and he did that. Added to all that, I put GM Fuel Line Cleaner (the dark blue bottle, with more than $30 value). The tank is still full and I am supposed to use the full tank to let the cleaner make its way through the fuel line.
However, I took it for a test of the Carbon Oxide and to my surprse, I found that now the level of CO had gone up to 10%. It seems like what ever I had done, I just succeeded in increasing the CO value instead of reducing it.
Any thoughts on what I should do or replace? Spark Plugs? Wires ? other items to recue the CO level ?
Thanks in advance,
Khalid
