ok with this kit if its easy to get LS1 F-body/ C5 Z06 brakes on, it shouldnt be hard to get the 325mm C6 Z51 brakes on would it?

Now what about the rears?

Well I don't think you need more than the C5 Calipers. Auto Addictions spins his rear tires on a burnout before he lets of the brake, so if that doesn't sound like they hold then C6 will be a waste to try.

Bracket i'm sure would need to be diffrent and also your rim size.

I did the C5 conversion. I had to use 1/2" spacers to get the 1991 ZR1 rims to clear the depth. These brakes are huge. Very nice setup. Chris did an awsome job on these.

The RPM coil overs look like they leave MUCH more room for alignments. I have the JS arms and can tell you that the angle that the lower shock mount is different and the mount is more outward on the arm. This made me have to space the lower mount out further for CV clearance. Which then put it very close to the tie rod ends and the adjustment coupling(I use that same Edelbrock piece, very nice). I like the clearance on yours MUCH better.
That kit saves TONS of weight. I weighed everything I took out and it came to over 240 pounds. So whatever the arms weigh, subtract it from the 240 and that would be the savings. WELL worth it.

Thanks George,

Yea wish i could of used the C5 too but i wanted to keep the stock size rims and not go bigger as too hurt my tires size for traction.

Now just gonna do a Hydratek System for master cylinder and power booster and then i should be good.

I just looked at the top picture again. My God. Can you believe GM put such a tiny ass brake setup on a vehicle making that kind of torque? Yep. Definitely should've rode out of the factory with something this size on it.

Ford Mini Vans have bigger brakes, go figure! Children Safety. I guess!

Figure Camaro's I use to run right with them except for the last 500 ft of the 1/4 and they had bigger brakes.

GM's Bright ideal because it was still just a S-10 to them still.

Have you checked to make sure you are getting full turning lock? I found the JSM coilovers and the CBR kit steering stops combined to reduce steering lock dramatically. Nothing a little extra grinding couldn't fix. Also, if you plan to run 9 inch wide front rims (a'la Gran Sport repros) some additional grinding is required. Nice pics, BTW, just (hopefully) providing some extra tidbits that may only be obvious after she comes down off the jackstands...

Already head of your comment! Noticed that on the jackstands, hate turning with it now but we are working on making the most of the turning radius.

Lost some with the RPM Coilovers and now more with the CBR Brake Kit.

Just gotta keep modding til you get it where you want it.
