Well yes and no, there were lots of people talking shit about it when I started the first thread about Jason's truck. And, then after he made some passes in it, it's amazing how many of those same people thought it was a great idea.

me and spanke had a discussion a while back

V6 is great and all and is cool to whoop up on v8's with but after you blow up an expensive v6 that you have a shit load of money into and it only runs 10;s you might as well build a v8 go way faster and do it for way damn cheaper. or build a 540 cubic inch motor with 20 some pounds of boost and make 2800 hp. spanke knows what I mean!!

It's a friggen truck...not a whooping crane. And in Green's point, they aren't relatively expensive either. It comes down to how people value money differently. If I saved every last penny to barely pay for my Sy then I would be appalled to learn of someone else tearing theirs apart, but if I had enough money to buy as many Sys as I wanted then it's not that big of a deal.

It was like seeing the Gumball guys beating the hell out of their F50. At first you wonder why defile such a nice car, until you learn that if they wreck it they've got spare F50s sitting it a truck nearby...

Shit I got disappointed when I sold Sy #0070 to one of John's buddies and the guy didn't really get it and detonated the fuck out of it.

For me, it's about seeing other people "get it" about SyTy's and having interest in giving back and participating.
Like all the cool people that buy one and do something cool for them.
Is it required? Nope.
Is it nice to see? For me, yah.
It's not like I am an overly passionate about it, I hope.
People are free to do whatever they want.
I mean, when Ry told me he bought it, I was like cool dude!
Ry get's it, he already has a Ty, another Sy, and a ZR1... it was just something wicked fast, and it was already hacked up so who cares.

I like the idea of making these pigs go fast on the cheap and daily drive it.
I like laughing that I weighed in at 4260 lbs (with passenger though) at bandimere and ran a 13.6 (up here where where shit is SLOW) with only a Kaboom Chip, no TC lock, bald ass all-seasons and shit in the back.

I guess I just like the quirky nature of them.
Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment and am overzealous about these trucks.

Hey you really gave me shit about having crap on the floor of the Sy when you first met me... And even took a picture of it.... WTF!!!

At least I took home a trophy on my first night out at the track with sy 1084 and a 13.9 timeslip on a completely stock truck with over 100K even after 6 runs that night!!! I really should have tried that kaboom chip I might have got the dreaded need helmet sticker
