not sure i understand this post

It's an awesome truck - it's one of the few that i would like to own but just have the time or the money to dedicate to another project as i am already building three trucks.

Shamo is owned by Ed K. - not me

Opie taught me - if you buy it or build it you must drive it. Life is way to short to wish you would have driven it.

if i could only upload all of the pics i have to the website - people would die.

plus if i could find the time to go thru all of the documents i have (about 40 boxes)

plus plus - i have forgotten so much it's scary
Heh. C'mon Marty, give it all up.

Email me every pic you have I will upload them.

email

Let me see. There are only a few ppl on Earth that have the info, but 15-14-13 years later there are more questions then answers?

Great.Job well done.

It's time to disseminate everything Marty. Even if you haven't gone through all the 40 boxes of shit you have,it's time to let the ppl that CARE have access to it. Post up everything you know,or let somebody else do it.

You are the keeper of all.

Let it go.

Ive got a copy of Martys harddrive.... and yeah, the pics he has hidden away and have long forgotten about are unbelievable. One of my favorites is a pic of about 30 Saudi Sys all lined up on the assembly line being prepped. Email logs going back and forth between PAS bigwigs and such with Marty, Merk, and Mary. Awesome history.

Theres so much info and pics that are "unrealesed" and not floating around the web that I got from Marty. I even have copies of alot of the old skool websites that arent around anymore. Anyone remember Jethro? That site was the shit back in the day.

Marty... you need to send me updated versions, get on it.

I recently got my hands on and got copies of ORIGINAL documents from ASC on the building of all 10 Marlboros. Hand written documents of the build, price breakdowns of EACH truck, all the flaws that had to be fixed before the Sy became "Marlborized". Pictures of the completed trucks all shown together.... CONCEPT sketches of how the truck was going to look. Talk about history.

Thankfully, they are in good hands and being well taken care of.

We need to get all the important info put together in a book/website/etc. I'd love to put a book together on Sys Tys and SoGTs. I can do the design/layout work no prob, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with photos/history. If anyone needs help uploading, compiling, whatever, I'd love to help.

Re: Chevy syclone and Chevy typhoon prototype trucks

I agree with phoonTy, some sort of book should be compiled about SyTys. It would be awesome to have a book that tells and shows the whole story of the SyTySoGT from design to production, and finally the end, including behind-the-scenes pictures and info. Possibly make one copy for each truck made?:rotf:

....and if it were published correctly, I bet you'd see a notible spike in the value of these vehicles. Barnes and Noble would be a great place to introduce the book to the public.

Re: Chevy syclone and Chevy typhoon prototype trucks

hmm... i could possibly put together something. wouldnt be an overnight thing... might take a year or three to compile everything from all the resources (marty, merk, leach) put it in order, categorize and make everything correct and flow..... there is alot... i mean alot that isnt published or widely known. Marty has told me he doenst even know what he has since there is so much...

i can easily design it and have it press ready for print production.... i dont know anything about getting a publisher though or costs.

funding would be the major kink.... printing alone would cost in the thousands if not more depending on the size run, paper stock, etc.....
