Hey guys -
Im thinking about coming out with my girlfriend. See, she doesnt understand what a Ty is and that is making it hard for me to convince her I should get one. If I show up at Hooters, will someone give us a ride in their Ty or Sy? We will be in Davenport,IA anyway that weekend... Thanks...

In all seriousness - you are more than welcome. I don't know how many running trucks will be there - but I'm sure you can one that runs well.
Where in Iowa do you live? I grew up in Davenport. You're probably looking at a 2 1/2 hour drive from Davenport with the cruise set at 74.

It looks like 3-4 trucks from Chicago - a couple others from southern Illinois (maybe). Probably double that with owners/ex-owners not bringing a truck. Which is a pretty good turn out for a winter meet.
If you really want to convince her - then you need to take her to the Nats next year. But it'd be better if you got a truck sooner so you could drive it to the Nats.

Yeah, im working on getting one. Coming up with 2 friends in my buddys SRT4. I work till noon but if I can leave early I should make it there in time. Or we'll just do 140 the whole way. Someone remind me to buy white castle before I drive back

There were 8 people, only 2 brought syty's (mine is blown up otherwise it would have been there). It was snowing which I'm sure played a small part in the turnout. But it was a good time even though I drove 2 1/2 hours and was the last there and the first to leave(my friends wanted to leave). I think it would be worth the drive to go up and hang out once a month. Especially once it gets warm and I have mine back out.
