cigarette lighter sizes

Have they changed? I have a cool little flashlight (torch ) from Brookstone that doesn't fit in my Typhoon lighter sockets but it fits perfectly in my girlfriend's Hyundai Santa Fe.

I thought these were standard sized sockets?

anyway, are you sure it is a cig. lighter, not just a 12V thing? all my 12V stuff fits in my syty's as in any other car.

Hmm... that might be it. I'm pretty sure it was a 12v socket in her car - there were two side by side so can't have just been a cig lighter.

I have a laptop charger that plugs in ok - :dunno:
