clading removal for paint

Ok once again I jump into something without knowing what I'm doing.
I decided to paint the truck & cladding also, I need feedback as to removing the cladding on it ( in particular ) the door and lower door skirt. I know there in there with some kind of plastic rivet. My question is there any way to remove ( without breaking or damaging it) and reusing it. Or do I replace it with some other hardware? And what has other people done to do this same process?

Info would be very much appreciated
Thank you,
Tyson

If you have plastic rivets, your in luck. The cladding has been off already and it is really easy to drill them out. Otherwise you have to slug it out removing all the aluminum rivets.

from the manual

from the manual

Use a drill and a 15/64-inch drill bit to remove
the rivets .

Are you gonna get some fender cladding finally with the fan blade money ? :rotf:

Re: clading removal for paint

Does anyone have any pictures of the backside of the front fender cladding? Tricks for removal. Where do they bolt, attach, etc.
