code59 Question..

Figured I would ask here, I searched here found nada and at code59 found very minimal... I am hoping to get this started tonight, and have everything (i think) as far as wide band goes, I have an autometer wb with a sep o2 sensor, has anyone, or does anyone know if this will work?? (as far as splicing into factory wiring) and if so, do I just unplug stock o2 and leave it there ?? should I put my wideband o2 where the stock one is and put the dummy stock where the w/b is now ??

Re: code59 Question..

Does the autometer output a 0-5v signal based on AFR? Is that tied into the f14 pin on the ecm. Then yes it can work, you will need to figure out what signal it is and select the right formula, or there is a table option for odd ball stuff also.

The stock o2 can still be run, won't hurt anything and will give you backup data to read and verify wb is correct.

I really am not sure that I understan that.. the autometer does have an output but it isn't connected to anything.. the wideband is just going to a gauge in my pillar..

Re: code59 Question..

Depends on which one you have.

Most Autometer ones have a blue wire for signal, which would go to F14, and a blue/blk which is signal ground. (attach to B9)

The output on them usually can be programmed, which you'll need to do to make it compatible with code59.

Autometer document:
http://www.autometer.com/productPDF/1143A.pdf

Set the 0v AFR value to 10:1 and the 4v value to 18:1. Use the Innovate or PLX wideband option in code59.

Re: code59 Question..

Thanks for that info... now getting ready to wire it in,*sigh* since about 9 this morning I have been reading before starting, and I still have a bnch of ?'s that I have not yet found answers for... my main one is if I have a 92 Typhoon, with a 7749 ECU do I just need to wire in the w/b o2 as prev stated, and also do I NEED the Capacitor? if so, I did not get one with this kit, so does anyone know the value it has to be?? and does this just go in between the two terminals I am going to connect the w/b to.. after the w/b is in, can I start running with a 2 bar until I get my 3 bar ?? Sorry for the ?'s but I am hopeing this will also help someone else later in life...

WB input into the datastream will help you out, otherwise you can't acurately know where in the table need adjustment.

Yes code59 only works with 2 bar.

Capacitor may not be needed.

He means 3 bar, not 2 bar.

I posted a few wide-band patched stock bins a while back, you could use that with your stock setup.
