Bad News...
So I'm driving the Ty today and take off from a light and it shuts off comes back on then back off again all in about 3 seconds. So I coast off to the side of the road and start checking things out. I have a dome light, but when I turn the key nothing happens, no juice to anything, no under hood light, battery connections all good. I got a tow home, but still need to check some things out.

I think I might have to pass on the BBQ so I can work on it and knock out some projects I have for summer classes that are due Monday...

ah come on now! Losers make excuses, winners make it happen! First thing I would start with is the fuses/wires on the back of the alt and obviously the fuse box. It can't be that hard of a fix!

I know I know, I just don't have time right now to troubleshoot it. I have a final and a project due on monday and I need to finish that first...sorry guys

i had a similar problem like that.
upon teardown i noticed the pos. batt cable was wedged between the firewall and downpipe.
the plastic coating melted off and the bare cable was tapping the tubing! that caused some bad intermittent shutoffs.

Nice BBQ Mike, it was nice to see all the tys there and the great group of people that showed up, my wife and i had a great time :tup: i'll post some pics tomorrow

Wow, that was the best MHST meet I've ever been too. I really appreciate everyone showing up and making the event kick ass. It was really nice to meet all of you, just wished we had some Sy's in the mix :lol:

we should meet again for truck fest. this time maybe someone will bring their syclone(s)

I want to thank everyone for showing up, even a couple of you who said you werent going to and made it down anyway. Says a lot. I also have to give 75% of the credit to my wife, 1. for letting me have it :lol: 2. she busted ass to clean the house and get everything looking good even though we keep it clean anyway, you know how it is when guests come. I'ld lke to apologize for the first few hours where I just worked on my truck as well, some things came up this weekend that took time away from finishing my project therefor keeping me from mingling. Perhaps we could get somethign like this together every year. So who's next? :lol:

That was a great meet guys, good amount of TY turn out (says alot about sy owners). I think Cheatie was the only sy owner there, and he makes up for it by having a ty! Also a big thanks to Mike for putting in some fast pace work until 9 pm getting the A/C delete done, really went the extra mile. and of course thanks to Austing for taking out the whole ac compressor and bracket LMAO!

Glad noone got sick form smoke inhalation. Everytime I opened the grill the wind took all the smoke right into the house. I heard some of the ladies coughing :lol: No sweat Abe, you know Im always out to help. It took so long because we didnt get back to working on it until 4-5pm. We ahd to make a trip to Lowes and Abe is just plain retarded :rotf: J/K Abe. Really, there was some fabbing to do, the AC box was a bitch to get out, I still had to finish my truck. Plenty of reasons. Main one being that you werent there to supervise.
