I used to come around here a lot more when I had free time in my life. Since my kid was born 2 years ago I can't remember my last 'free time'. So here's the deal. I love my truck, but it sits in my driveway only to be driven around the block a few times each week. I ended up getting a Buick (and not GNX) to be my little commuter that fits the kid better.
I guess the first question is, do I sell it? It's paid for and insurance isn't much for the little it moves, but it takes up a spot in my front yard. And since this is California, our houses don't have much extra room. The garage is full with a Tent Trailer so that option is out. I want someone to talk me out of it, but I realize it needs to go
So the real point of the message: What to charge for it? It's a 1993 Typhoon that has been a california car since birth. The tires have been replaced, the transmission and transfer case were rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago I think. It was 2 right before my son was born. The engine leaks a little oil from somewhere, about a dime size drop overnight. It has done this since I bought the truck in 2000. Motor has 140,000 on it but is still strong. There are no mechanical issues that I am aware of, other than it's a 93' truck with 140,000 miles on it. Paint looks good from 5 feet away, but close insepction you can see it has little pock marks in it from sap, suit, etc. Everything is original except for the Pioneer radio (I have the original) and front speakers and the intercooler lines were replaced with heater hose.
The A/C is not charged, it leaked from behind the compressor (I had replaced the compressor, condenser and accumulator last year but the washers werent right behind the compressor). I assume it's best to get this recharded and fixed?
The starter clicks of course, but I haven't put the hotshot relay in.
Oppinions and Thoughts? Where do you sell it? What if some punk wants to buy it and ruin it? =(
