Considering selling my Ty... testing the waters.

Blk to wht/gry... yay.
I'm only posting this here because this isn't a 'must sell' situation and I absolutely love this truck, I couldn't see it go to somebody who won't take as good care of it as I do. Reason for selling is that I could use the extra cash because I'm going to be going back to university next fall for Mechanical Engineering. For anyone that's been, they'll know it isn't cheap.

I'll keep this short, it's 1992 Ty #1805, 95k miles on the body, 6k on the rebuild. Full repaint done over the winter, currently in storage.

The Good:
Fresh paint
No rust on the truck
Engine rebuilt recently, fresh block with all new internals
Bigger fuel injectors and Walbro fuel pump
Comes with a lot of upgraded parts ready to install
Interior in good shape, clean and no tears, leather is mint
Custom 3" stainless dual exhaust

The Bad:
Needs turbo/wastegate(included in sale is a used PTE-51 and a new RPM downpipe)
Needs tune up(included in sale is NGK plugs and Taylor 8mm wires)
Steering box needs replacing, likes to wander at highway speeds
Shop that rebuilt the engine used cheap lifters so they tick(has been since the day the engine was rebuilt)
Needs tires(will include stock Typhoon wheels)
Foglight broken(will include new pair)
Door jambs were not painted

I'd like $10,000. My price is pretty much firm, I think I'm more than fair in my asking price. If anyone is serious I can arrange to meet and show you the truck.

Why is there a screw going threw the cladding?
Dude, no painted door jambs, what was the original color?

The front bumper cover was in rough shape, the body shop did their best to save it, it looks really good in person minus the screw.

The original color was white and grey, previous owner repainted it black/black. I repainted it back to white and grey but the shop wanted $1000 more to do the door jambs so I left them black. It's such a minor detail imo, the truck looks really good.

$9000? Anyone? I don't want to let this thing go unless it goes to somebody local who will take care of it...

Man I didn't think you would be selling this so soon. If I had the money I would buy it up, just a bad time right now. Good luck with the sale, let us know who buys it.

Education comes before play, it really sucks, but that's how it goes. If it doesn't sell to anyone here, I'll gladly keep it, the cash would just come in handy in the next few months...:(

Thats weird why the shop didn't ask if you wanted the fogs replaced while they had it apart, geeze. A screw in the bumper cover is rank for paying thousands of dollars for a pro job, the least they could of done is given the door jambs a half ass spray to make of for that! Beatiful '92 though man, bet you'd have second thoughts if someone showed up with cash;)

If you saw the bumper cover before I got it painted, you'd know why the screw was needed. Hell, I thought it was beyond saving, but they managed to make it look pretty good despite that. I swear the previous owner had the Ty for playing bumper tag...

I totally would have second thoughts if somebody showed up with the cash... but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
