Couple quick questions, help plz

Last week I installed a EGR block off plate, and a FP guage. I just went and started it now to take it for a drive, but the thing barely idles and the brakes are hard to push, would a leak in the plate cause this? Also The FP guage says like 85 psi, which seems high, what is it supposed to run at?? Everything is stock engine wise.

Thanks

Fp is high. is that with the vac connected?
Yes a leak could cause the bad idle.

What do you mean vac connected? Also it barely drives and runs really rough, would the leak do that too?

Thanks

theres a vacuum nipple on top of the FPR that goes to the intake tee that runs to the map sensor. you may need to pick up an AFPR and adjust the FP down, or you may have another problem

So I just pull the line and it is supposed to be at 42 at idle?

Just checked, with it unhooked at idle it was still like 65 psi, does this mean I need a new regulator?

Yeah, sounds like you've got a crap regulator or a pinched fuel line somewhere. Either way, get a AFPR from one of the vendors, they are the gooder.

Just checked my coldes with DM and it is showing 3, IAC error,MAP high, and rich O2, will this all be a result from the FPR?

youre obviously going to be rich with a FP of 85psi. clear your codes and recheck the codes and the fp, youre probably going to have to get a new FPR

Well, I got the AFPR installed it and turned the FP to around 43 I think, and it sure idles alot better. Might take it for a drive tomorrow to make sure it runs better. Thanks for the help guys.
