Cracked Wire - Lack of power

Lost power last week. Seemed to be stumbling but not when cold. Also started knocking out of no where. Decided to pull the plugs and check them. Put new Autolite 103's at .030 in and the last plug to get changed was #6. There was a crack right near the boot which was right next to the downpipe. I do use boot sleeves but still had an issue. Anyway, the wire just crumbled in my hand and I have a new set coming. Hopefully this was my problem. I would think so. Opinions? Also, the #6 plug was loaded up black with carbon. Pics below.

Hoping this is my problem. Won't find out til later this week when new wires come in.

Also doing an AC delete while the hood is open.

Re: Cracked Wire - Lack of power

NOWAY, I would use the sleeves just for extra protection. I have them on every wire on my truck, no problems so far.
