Cross over tube

Hello to all! This is my first time using this forum and do not know if I am in the right place or not? But here goes: I recently purchased a 1993 Typhoon and am in need of the "cross over tube" or as GM Calls it the "turbo tube" Any suggestions on where I can find one of these would be very helpful.. Thanks

Re: Cross over tube

I wouldn't.... they are just trouble waiting to happen. They get brittle and end up cracking, and before you know it pieces break off and destroy your turbo. There are some common sense mods you can do to prevent turbo damage but they are still restrictive and not the best choice for use. If you are dead set on getting one they are getting scarce, especially in good shape. I'm sure someone will chime in if they have one. Are you trying to keep the truck 100% stock or don't know about the other options available?

If and when you do install a new one. This small mod will save your turbo and motor. Buy some metal screening for screen doors. Wrap it around the turbo inlet with a hose clamp to hold it in place then slide the orange flexible connector over it. IF a piece does break off it will stop it from ruining your turbo or motor. :2cents:

Re: Cross over tube

Thanks for the reply, what other options would you recommend? I have not really researched any other areas since I just got this truck. Thanks

Re: Cross over tube

There are a few different options that you can use. Cobra elbow, ATR air box, Kenne Bell Intake, and more I am sure I am forgetting about. A lot of non-stock applications will require to relocate the battery in some way.

This thread here has a lot of pics to give you some ideas or at least see what other have/are doing.
