Re: Crunched Syclone

Look like the beginning of a radical chopped top with a rake to the rear in attempt at a 7 sec run, based on the driver side picture.. Seriously this is a bummer, as you know someone lost a nice truck. Is anyone keeping track of the trucks that are totaled VS how many are left to be driven.

Re: Crunched Syclone

Has anyone ever seen a vehicle in the J/Y with blood in it? I know I haven't, and I've been quite a few times in my few years on this planet. I think that if someone is seriously hurt in an accident, then the car is crushed. I have no actual facts on this, just my theory. Anyone shed light on this matter?

I guess what I am getting at is that if someone was killed, they wouldn't be selling it. I could be WAY off though.

Years ago, my freind bought a wreck 5.0 Mustang Convertible for cheap. The owner died in the crash. You could see blood and hair in the windshield and on the steering wheel...

depends on hte yard owner, my uncle owns one and you really never know what happened in the crash. Usually even bad crashed like that there won't be any blood. I was tearing apart a rolled 4wd s-blazer one time and found a finger, scared the shit out of me, but there was no blood in the truck...

Wierd. I usually only go to one yard, so maybe they don't buy anything with carnage.

Re: Crunched Syclone

Cages prolly save more lives on teh street than they do on teh track.
Anyhow, I can see the reason for having one in either case.

I have seen lots of cars in the yards with blood stained seats, face dents in the windshield, etc.

Re: Crunched Syclone

**UPDATE** This is the email I got back from the salvage yard, it's not all that helpful though..

"We have not received any paperwork, so it is hard to say when the unit
will go up for sale. When we do get ready to sale, it must be sold
through our live auction. As long as it meets any reserves, it will be
sold to the highest bidder. We do not give out the entire VIN except to
the party who buys the unit."

Although, if I think about it, one could easily pummel themselves to death against the cage tubing w/o a helmet. This is likely the case if rolling over in a steet situation. )Especially true if a Gurney bar is fitted.)

I was in a junkyard one time and saw a police car that had been used as a roadblock to stop a fleeing driver. The cop was killed in the collision. For some reason he was standing outside. No flesh, but the blood stains were still all over the paint. Kinda gruesome.

Why the hell would he do that? At least stand on the opposite side of the car

If all else fails, jump before the car gets to you

Re: Crunched Syclone

Is there a registry out there that keeps track of who owns what truck, what truck has been junked etc?
