do not know with line off, autometer gauge is at solid 45 at idle, mark martone fuel pressure reg. walbro 255 hi-flow pump, 3" borla exhaust, bob galla turbo intercooler pipe, , if this info helps with what seems to be a rich problem, also checked no vacucm leaks.

Well I'm not 100% sure on the spec that Brian has for fuel pressure for the ultimate but I think its around 45 psi with the vacum line off.

If yours is 45 with the line on that translates to approx 61 psi no vacuum. :eek:

That would certainly explain your plug colour.

Don't take my word on the pressure spec, find out from someone that uses an ultimate setup. I could be wrong on this.

not a page I can think of....but just pull and plug the vac line and set your FP to 50 at idle...or....just set the FP with the engine off and pump on...you can do this by energizing the grey wire on firewall just to the left of the 2 relays on the top of the dist

will the fuel pressure gauge still work or will i need another handheld gauge to set pressure? also which way to turn set screw to raise or lower, thanks

Clockwise= more pressure
Counterclockwise= less pressure.

The guage in your truck should be fine, just might have to adjust it a few times to hit the target is all.

just found the stage 3 chip instructions, states 50psi at idle no vacucm, what should it be with vacucm? trying to gather info to so i do this in the a.m.

Don't worry about what it should be with vacuum. That will depend on engine speed, temperature, and several other factors.

Just set it to 50 psi with the line off and plugged and the engine running, then reattach the line and call it good.

The reason you have to do it with the vacuum line removed is because vacuum varies a little with every car... different cam , worn out motor , little higher idle , etc...

Set it to 50 - and your plugs should be much better...
