Custom cam or shelf?

I am about ready to buy myself a new cam to match my heads and turbo. I was wondering if I should spend the extra $75-100 on a custom cam or just get a comp that everyone else uses?

you'll leave power on the table if you go with an off the shelf cam. check with e-rue for one of his custom fast ramp cams

With the suppliers we have willing to custom grind I would go with a custom they will be able to put 2 and 2 together since they know these trucks and what they respond to

Re: Custom cam or shelf?

Well, I am going to run the PT60 for maybe the rest of the summer. I just want to get it all in place so to speak. Then I plan on selling the 60 and my 20g set up and getting a stealth 70. So I would get a cam profiled for the 70. Probably wouldn't even install it till I put the 70 on anyway with a fresh built motor. Initially I was going to run it on the stock motor until it blew up (because I was feeling impatient) but then came to my senses and decided that would be retarded in more ways than one. So I would basically need a cam for:
8.5:1 compression
port and polished 2.02 Vortecs
52mm TB
96lb injectors
Stock manifolds
and the stealth.
I think that should be about all that would affect what cam I need. In terms of actual specs, I have no idea, just that I want a good street able but fast ride.

Where you going with all that injector?

E85. I think you need about a 50# or 60# for the Stealth so add 30% and I have some to spare. I can tune around them and dont have to use excessive fuel so that wont be an issue. Maybe some 75#'s?
