Re: Custom chip by dig??
Welcome to the board, you will find it like no other board you have been on so be prepared. its a good thing though.
From your question we could tell you were new. Again welcome. This is a small group of people. Dig just happens to be one of 3 or 4 members that started the online syty world back well when the trucks still had warranties and still on dealer lots back around when he helped invent the round wheel.
It wasn't entirely round, back then. The prototypes were octagonal.
I don't do much tuning anymore outside of guys who are local to me or I've had some other type of arrangement with before, and longtime buds. There are generally too many things wrong with people's trucks, and "tuning" has sort of become code for "tell me all the stuff that I have wrong with my truck and tell me how to fix it". Which- as you might imagine, can take up a lot of time.
I have a 5 yr old that is pretty much impossible to keep in one place, so that kind of time isn't available anymore.
I don't really know of too many guys that are still doing it for hire. Nolan does good work, as does Hood. I don't really have any experience with any other guys, so I can't say one way or another. The total # of people that I'd say are qualified to do this in the country is less than the number of fingers most people have. Unless you're really lucky and live in one the areas these guys do, that means you'll either have to travel, work out an e-mail-tune deal, or learn to do it yourself.
