Custom grille project

I got a good deal on a grille shell for my truck after a minor fender bender, so I decided to try to do some kind of custom grille on my Sy. I ordered a Street Scene Speed Grille for a Suburban and I'm going to start working on making it fit the opening in my grille. It is about 2 inches taller and 2 inches wider than the Sy grille, but the bend of the grille is the same.

I plan on using this truck to promote my vehicle accessory shop, so I want to do some different things to it. I have all clear lights in the front, but I am going to change that up, not sure what to yet. I will add pics once I dig into this, probably going to start on it this weekend.

Re: Custom grille project

You have to take some pics. Do you do custom fit bumper grilles for a Denalli? I need the lower. Let me know. Thanks.

Re: Custom grille project

I need a lower one for a Denali also if you find one.

Do you plan keep the tow hooks or remove them? Removing them does not seem to be very easy.

I will be keeping mine, hands down. I have to pull my brother in law out of a ditch at least once a year. His civic is not good in the snow. Let us know if you can do the bumper grille to match the Denali grille. Thanks.

Re: Custom grille project

Which year of Denali are you guys talking about? Let me know of which body style you are talking about and I'll do a little research on it.

I plan on either having the grille sent to be chromed in black chrome or powdercoated black. I know the paint will not hold up as I have a friend who tried to paint his grille black.

Re: Custom grille project

Here is the finished product. I'm going to send it out Monday to be black chromed, should turn out pretty good.

Here is a Street Scene black chrome speed grill I did for a customer a couple weeks ago. This is what the finish will look like when it's done.

Let me know what you guys think. If there is interest in these, I may start selling the grille shell and speed grille as a package with a variety of finishes, including powdercoating in any color, aluminum like it is now, chrome, black chrome, etc.

Re: Custom grille project

Wow, I like that. I think the black chrome would be the best on our trucks, unless a persons Sy/Ty is another color other than black.

If the headlight bezals were painted a darker gray and the gmc emblems back on that would look sweet. IMO
