No... REAL men use their heads to build a rope/pulley system and install it in one bay of their car port so the bed can be lifted off by one person. Then the truck is simply driven out from under it.

Thanks, then why do people state that it's going to take " a full day" to replace the Sy fuel pump. Seems like the whole job should take 2-3 hours....no?

you ask the most gay ass questions...I did TWO pumps in 2 hours

Good for you man, I'm very happy you're so damn handy. I have never done one and wanted some insight. Regarding it taking "a full day", I got that from the Search as stated in previous posts. The gay ass one might just be you pal!

I can't believe there is this much discussion over a Syclone fuel pump. In the time it took you to go to the store and get a new blade for your sawzall, I'd allready have the box off. Seriously, it's a 1.5 hour job start to finish if you screw around and drink beer while you're doing it. Don't cut the box, just take it off, go put the bitch in and be done with it.

A Walbro 255 pump and an billet AFPR is on order for Monday delivery. I have all my questions answered and appreciate everyone's help. The bed's coming off!

See, the point was I asked a specific question about everyone's opinion on cutting the hole. Some agreed, some disagree (the majority). I got the hole cutting idea from the search feature rather than asking "what's the best way to change a fuel pump on a Sy".............and I still get shit.

Oh well, it's Friday night and I'm going to the shore for the weekend. :drinking:

Hmm so what does that make me since I like to use heavy equipment :p ? http://huryde.station180.com/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=mikecampbellakaSY2932&id=abq

Don't sweat it S4Vince, more power to ya as it your truck... Besides, cutting a hole in your bed will a lot less labor intensive than drilling your center caps off was http://syty.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27679&highlight= .
