Datamaster losing connection?

For some reason my Datamaster keeps randomly losing connection and regaining it.. I'm using com2 so that shouldn't be an issue anyone else know why it might be doing that? Very annoying not knowing when your actually logging

Mine seems to loose connection as well......
could be a loose connection to the ecm. Try using tape to secure it....

try slowing down the baud rate if its loosing connection

Loose connections, or noise. Bad ECM/engine grounds can do this too.

I've had some "problem" trucks that I had to run separate wires fronm the ECM for ALDL data and ground. That cleared up a lot of issues....

i also had to run separate ground and signal wires from the ALDL to the ECM. after this, I had zero connection or data drop out problems with datamaster.
