You need a laptop to run DataMaster and an ALDL interface cable. The cable runs about $90 and can be obtained from Andrew at http://www.akmcables.com Datamaster monitors crucial engine data and presents it in a graph format. Makes trouble shooting alot easier and the $90 for the cable doesn't seem like much compared to hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of parts you would have to replace if you didn't know what was going on with your engine. You can get the cable cheaper too. The actual ODBI plug on the end is quite expensive, I guess. I was looking at hardwiring a cable into the back of the plug myself... If you get the cable kit (assembly required) without the ODBI plug, it's only $35.
