DEAD ALDL port WTF

I went to plug in a(Crap-On) scan tool to the aldl I cant retrive anything !

I need to know if there is power to it (key on)?

how can you test it


AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF my map sensor went out

what the *&@#!% is going on

Quick way to check ALDL port:
Jumper on the trucks ALDL connector the upper right 2 pins, then turn key ON (up instrument lights should light) to AUX, the check engine light should start pulsing 1 then 2 (12) for a total of 3 times, after this trouble codes should flash. I can not remember which syty site has the trouble codes but is findable from this site, should be in the scanner manual.
I've never used a scanner to pull codes, should also have to turn key ON to pull TC's.

Yeah it's 2,800 pile of nevermind. the boss let me use

I cant seem to get it to diag. anything It tells me no aldl info strange!

I know it works we used it a 3000gt today and we sall all kinds of info

it does as much as turbo link? well almost

Yes Iknow all this but it would be helpfull if I was new

I am trying to find out why it is dead DEAD nothing no power!

As far as I can tell it was no cuts or anything like that

Does the truck start - or are you just trying to find why it won't start?

i had the same deal and it was kicking my ass.
turns out - ecm worked perfectly, truck ran fine, blah blah blah.
ecm was indeed bad - least that part of it that barfs up info.
swapped to a spare, voila, data spewing everywhere.
try another ecm b4 you pull your hair out.

The truck does indeed run OK!

I have some 3bar images I'm trying to find Why it starts hard in

the mornings. starts and dies about 3 times them idle flux.for a while

I thought if I hooked up a diagnostic tool I could see in real time whats going on does that help?

Iv'e been so pissed at it ,I'd I don't always know how to explain
