Looks like a satisfactory resolution...not the perfect resolution but it's gonna work in this scenario.

You just need a SCARA robot arm equipped with a vision system holding the plug in the garage. Then when you park and activate a proximity sensor at the front wall of the garage the arm finds the plug on the truck and plugs it in for you.

...or you could move to a warmer climate...
