My friend has one on his 2004 turbo 1.8 VW Jetta.
24 - 25 psi of boost & works great! No problems for 6 months @ least.

I've had my kit over two years and haven't had one problem with it.. I do have the hoses tucked away from any heat related parts though which I think would be common sense.

I have the basic devils own and I like the price;) seems to work fine as any other i've had in the past.

If you just want something that works get an off-the-shelf shur-flo pump, a hobbs switch with 5$ worth of tubing. It's the progressive controller you are paying for.

Just wondering if anyone has installed two nozzles on the intercooler yet?
I think I like that going that way better than just one nozzle.

Two smaller nozzles w/a finer mist????

Two nozzles will also yield a lot more flexibility....maybe help disperse the alcohol also.

My truck in both pictures.. I've had there progressive kit on my truck for two years now and haven't had a problem with it yet. Im using the m12 nozzle and felt/seen(in dm) a major difference in inlet temps and how the truck pulls with no knock.

Only concern I see with the devilsown kits is the use of the plastic push lock lines. Yeah it's some fancy plastic and can with stand this and that but I didn't like the idea of it so I made sure to route it away from anything that could get hot but the push lock type lines are pretty good idea especially if your always pulling your piping off etc. You won't ware them out like you would with an lines. Also the nozzle as you probably would have guest it is mounted on the back side of the black ic tubing about 4 - 6 inches before the tb and the controller is in the glovebox.

I used to have dm files of before and after and with at different boost levels but i've honestly lost interest in the truck and have miss placed the files. The truck's developed an issue with making no boost so I parked it a few months ago. I just got in from pulling the front mount out to look for cracks or leaks that could cause the lack of boost but not going to deal with it until tomorrow.

I am using the D07 nozzle that they sell with the 220 PSI pump.
Having spent many years with the Aquamist system I have plenty of praise for alcohol/water mix systems. I was one of the few on the original GP with Aquamist.

I decided to pick and choose items they offered and did not get the progressive kit.
Running code 59, I can tune fuel curves better than the progressive controller.

Everyone always complains about the plastic parts that they sell.
Plastic is very tolerant of alcohol and water. Light weight and doesn't conduct electricity.
The braided steel lines look professional but the rubber in them probably will break down from the alcohol at some point. Hard to clean when dirty, conducts heat and electricity.

The other main reason why I wanted the plastic lines was to mount the tank and pump in the bed of my truck. Running 15 feet of nylon line is cheap and easy. I paid 24 bucks for 25 feet. Water does not compress (nearly) at all so adding a check valve removes any issues to the length of tube.
Heat soaking the pump and tank full of nearly flammable liquid was something I wanted to avoid.
Specially for the denatured alcohol or pure alcohol types.

I plan on trying to add another nozzle and up the size one of these days.
The only big thing to complain about Devil's own was there website. They offered a dozen or so different pump products but I have no idea what EPDM/Nylon Valve Assembly is good for.
The tanks come in different sizes but you will have find a way to mount them. The nice thing is that you get to choose an optimal location for the plumbing for the lines. I have my tank at a 45 degree foreward angle so I don't have to worry about sucking air into the system.

Buy what ever system works best for you.
Straight methanol, methanol/water mix, plain water, denatured alcohol, progressive or not....
Razor's, Devil's, SMC, Aquamist, Snow or any of the other dozen.
Anyone of them will be better than nothing (tuning required).

Thanks for the replys.

Are you guys hooked up to the map sensor?

I see that your spray nozzles are much different in sizes M12 to a D07

What size comes with a kit ,or do you have to pick what size you think suites your application.

I bought the Aquamist 1S system also on that old GP. It just does not flow enough volume to change the A/F mixture. that is why I am looking into another system.

My system is tapped into the map sensor and is setup for 3bar map. I believe the D07 is the newer type of nozzle that devilsown developed and have now switched over to. When I picked my kit up I got four different nozzle sizes with it so I started with one in the middle which was a m7 I think and worked my way up to the m12.

The D07 is an outside mounted injector and the M7 equivalent is an inside mounted one.

I put together my own system and did not use the progressive unit since I was building my own fuel tables with Code 59.

My old non high output Aquamist pump is lacking in the quantity department also so I upgraded.
I am not sure if the 50/50 mix of methanol was a good mixture for the seals of that old pump.

Just curious, how did you tap into the map sensor & what wire/s ?

Also,,how much boost & rpm do you go to?

Thanks

Daryl, what pump did you upgrade too?

Tapped into the signal wire for the map... off the top of my head I believe it's the green wire and never really worried about getting more rpm out of the truck because it still has the stock trans/converter but boost was 18, 20, 24 then back to 18 and only seen 1.3 or 1.4 kr with 93 pump gas and a 50/50 mix
