why did gm put disc brakes on them when they knew they were as fast as a vette
did any syty come with disc brake in the rear??

Why didn't they, you mean? Because they're cheap. People probably weren't going to road race them (even though I did). Drum brakes are stronger, they just don't dissipate heat as fast. So there really wasn't any need for discs on the back. So on the bright side, you can boost launch alot harder thanks to the drums.
