The parts guy's are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Was there for an hour watching them look for it.
Now i hunt for the right tube. Too hot to look at PNP.I would rather just buy it.
Ya, I'll be there. Thanks! 4C FED that will save me the trouble of hitting the Dealerships and wrecking yards this week looking for it.4C FED said:If you're going to be at Dave & Busters this weekend I can bring the new one I had powdercoated.
The part # helped me get the dipstick, but when at the dealership i asked them for the tube, that's when all Hell broke lose and had to watch two parts guys try to look up the tube. After an hour i got (it's not avaliable) I got tired of asking them questions and gave up.DaveP said:I gave you the P/N in post #6 of this thread.
That obviously wasn't any help to you. So I won't bother to look up the PN for the tube. If the number I gave you was wrong, or not cross-refrenced, etc, it would be helpful to know these things.
I noticed this weekend with the late model dipstick tube and the stock dipstick it reads spot on.
I know for an exact fact I put 4.5 quarts in a fresh motor and with this combo it read exactly in the middle of the range.
You will have to mod the newer style dipstick tube end where the dipstick goes in since it flares out too big but that is no big deal
has anybody got the part # for this tube ?
I just bought mine from the dealer:
Tube: P/N 14099054
Indicator: P/N 10207701
after some more looking found this # 10219921 . ordered one going to give it try .
How well did the tube and indicator work out?
fit perfectly
