Drove the V8 Typhoon to work today.....

Not too exciting of a post, but I drove the Typhoon to work today. I actually got it running 1 week ago, but the first day the trans blew up. Got the new trans in two days ago and got the truck UN-lowered. It's a little high now, but much better than sitting on the bumpstops. The engine is a stock aluminum headed TPI from a Corvette. It has a 2800 stall converter, and launches awesome. Too bad it has no power after launch. I just put the 17x9.5/17x11 ZR1 combo on it, because they just look right, I know everyone has them...but oh well.
I still have a ton to do to the truck, as the dash isnt even in it yet, but here's a boring pic of it sitting in front of work.

rims were ebay specials, tomz wheels i think. Tires from tirerack. 1300 or so for all. I have two sets of wheels for sale now. Thanks for the compliments guys....Im suprised, it doesnt look like much in that pic. Ill get it cleaned up and get some good pics, maybe tomorrow. You cant even see the ghost flames or anything cool in that pic.

I bought a set of ZR-1's two years ago from AFS wheels on Ebay. First I bought a set of silver 9.5/11's for my 85 Vette. I thought I had a good deal at $325 +$80sh for all 4 brand new. I kept watching their auctions and ended up buying a set of chrome 9.5/11's for $270 +$80sh !!! I ended up selling the silver set a few months ago, brand new still in boxes for $400 plus shipping. They seem to be running alot more today. I guess I shouldve kept that silver set....

LOL......thats funny. I did the same thing, except you got me beat. I watched for a while and won a set for around 340 + shipping from AFS for the chrome 17x11/9.5 combo for my old 86 Vette. They seemed to have quit doing the no reserve auctions very much since then......too bad, cause what a deal!

I have a set of 17x9.5 chrome 10 Spoke new SS camaro style wheels and tires and a set of magnesium C5 vette 17x8.5/18x 9.5. The mags are like 4400 new and pretty rare, but mine are beat up with crappy tires and powdercoated black. I would like to see 500 bucks for them.

I was hoping you were gonna say you had the stock rims for sale, for really cheap since you have these shiny new ZR-1's. Every stock rim on my truck is bent or damaged.
