Running a dual solenoid boost controller can make boost come on faster then using the stock ecu becuase it can open the wastegate valve faster. This allows the wastegate to stay closed while boost is building rather then creaping open. It also helps out with boost spiking. There was a good artical in Sport Compact about these. And it turned out that the Blitz dual solenoid controller made a big difference in how the car built boost compared to the other controllers. And some of the cars got faster in the 1/4mile because of it.
