Emulating Problem any suggestions

Ive been working on this one for a few weeks and cant really put it togther, so i figured maybe someone would have some suggestions,
Heres the system: I have the ostrich, g1 adapter, and tunerpro rt.
Heres the problem: ever since day 1 i have not been able to get this to work. i upload the bin and xdf (have used many different bins and xdf's and got same results every time) and i enable emulation and upload the bin to computer. everything in my tunerpro rt is green light and ready to go, i start my truck and it idles at 1800 rpm:shocked!: and has a cel on. problem is i get no codes when checking my aldl and my datamaster says no pcm sync. so i tried a 3 bar bin/xdf with a 3 bar map, start my truck and it idles at about 800 with 10in of vac and dies if i touch the gas. also if i unplug the ostrich all the way back to the adapter it runs the same as if it hooked up.
so my best conclusion is that the ostrich is not holding the bin or loading the bin to the adapter, but i would like some input on what else it could be. im just damn stumped on this one. thanks in advance

i had that problem when i first put it together and mine was in the wrong way check yours

What was backwards? which way does the stock prom sit on the g1? any pics that i could confirm it with. everything else is keyed so it only goes one way. thanks

Contrary to the way it looks.. the Zif socket on the G1 is in backwards so you can still Flip the lever to lock it in. See Picture below. Try flipping the cable in the Zif on the G1 and see if that helps.

Also once the Ostrich is connected to the SyTy ECM, you need to have the KEY ON for the BIN to upload and verify correctly to it.
