Engine bay critter

Let me start by saying that I keep a pretty clean truck (anyone that has come to the pavillions in Scottsdale will hopefully agree) and it helps that it only has 28K miles...
I have done a few of the minor mods since I am planning on keeping it relatively stock: IC line replacement, IC pump, turbo gauge install...small stuff. But I do spend a lot of time under the hood cleaning it up.

So I was out cleaning a few things in the engine bay tonight and to my incredible surprise, my Ty used to have another occupant in the engine bay besides my stock 4.3 liter. Under the IC wedged in that small nook was a freakin nest! I wanted to wake my wife up to check it out because I could not believe how much crap I pulled out of there.

The inhabitant is long gone, but his home made the trip out here to AZ. Looked like a mouse was as excited about a turbo 6 as we are...

Haha, that's awesome. Should've taken pics before you tore it apart. When I first saw the title, I thought there was gonna be some sort of road kill wedged in there somewhere.

Yeah, I had 2 mice that must have tried to get into the inside of the truck through a small hole near the downpipe. They got fried by the heat. I took some pics but cant post them. Pretty crazy those critters can get into anything.

I have some pics of the nest post removal....I was amazed at the amount of crap one can wedge in that space...

Especially since I never found it before ( I have owned teh truck for over a year now)
