#1: dont ask me what year. EVO X i think. baited him over and over, finally he went for it. but not really. i convinced him to race, to which i hard launched(maybe9psi), he did not. at the next light he rolled up,"holy shit man, what is that thing?" ...he wouldnt go for it after that. but in our pre race, from a roll antics, he didnt seem any faster.

#2: fiance driving on interstate messing with a newer GT500, 2011 or 12, i dont know. from 65 to aprox 90, he had nothing. in fact, when her and him both hit it, he walked, for a moment, until we built boost, then pulled on him. whatever. just fun.

side note, had it in nebraska for turkey day, where my dad took me to an old navy ammo depot...makes me realllllllllllllly hate this altitude.

So you "beat" a newish GT 500 at highway speed roll?
Evo one totally possible but the GT500... I dont think the GT was "racing". But before I jump to conclusions....., is your truck modded?

he was racing, there was lots of showboating. trust me. he was racing. I have driven an 06 GT500. I was vastly unimpressed.

we are modded some.

a possibility is a fake shelby. like i said, whatever. I wasn't even driving. simply sat back and watched my fiance keep up with/gain on him. whatev...............its all good. guess ill make sure to go pro all my races before i post them, so im not called a ****ing liar

Wow, you got defensive quick. :) A stockish Typhoon is going to have a lot of trouble with any GT500, let alone a 550 horse 2011/12.

I raced an SC GT500 from 40 once and I got destroyed, had similar mods as Ron. Doesn't mean it didn't happen though. I also beat some cars in my time that I wasn't "supposed" to beat but did, granted they were from a dig 99% of the time. But you never know.

You going to tune that thing or what? You couldn't even hang with the wife's Ty on stock boost sucka, you have a lot of potential in that truck, just need to unlock it. The tune sucks ass in that thing, needs to be re-done for our altitude.

It would help lesson the amount of doubting post if you posted some specs of your build in the post as well... with that said, Your truck can't be anywhere near stock to be able to pull a shelby from 65 to 90 roll.

I believe this. I can take a modded ls3 camaro on the highway, I'm sure he can take a mustang gt500. evo's even more believable

I have been in this Ty, I don't see it happening personally. I don't doubt that it did but there is something Ron is unaware of for sure. Either that car wasn't running right, the driver didn't know how to drive or something. You guys all know that I am always up for a good race and have raced just about everything under the sun but this one doesn't add up. If it were from a light and he said he took it out in the 1/4 on the street I'd back it up because you never know how bad the other driver sucks. Plus, the SYTY's arena is definitely from a dig. But like I said, I raced one from about 40 and that ****er left me like I was standing still. The one I raced was S/C, not sure if I am thinking of the same car Ron raced but if it is, something went wrong for the other guy which in my book, is still a win.

There are also GT350s and the GT California edition. I've only seen a few GT500 owners that actually use their cars potential, most of the other (old guys) owners have them for the sake of having them.

See Mike, shoe is on the other foot now. :rotf::rotf: anything can happen on the street. i don't trust badges, in the south west i have seen more cars than i can count with "Cobra" or "Type-R" or "V-TEC" or "Cummins" that are not what they advertise. Doesn't mean he didn't beat the real thing either. Go high 5 your girl for me, and tell her good job again. :tup:

They are all the 5.4L supercharged setup

there's actually allot of owners modding and racing there snakes... Check out svtperformance.com sometime those cars even the older ones make gobs of power with simple pulley swap and or tune. There problem is simply traction or driver mod and without a doubt strive in roll racing.

Also it would be hard to mistake a GT500 for a typical GT due to the fact that thy use totally different fascia, hood, fog light' grill and rear bumpers all of which are oem only parts.

If he was into the run you'd hear the blower but either way the op's wife is kick ass for racing and taking the win
