Could it have been one of these? I don't remember what it was, but all the Ford guys were making a big deal about it. I beat him every time, but his mph was higher than mine (128 mph). He was running high11s all day with a horrible 60' My buddy that took the pic said it looked like he was launching on bannana peels. :lol: No idea what was done to it though.....

I hear you, believe me I do. But the fact of the matter is, I have ridden in this Ty and it is not that fast. I beat it from a roll by a solid few car lengths going from around 40. Hell he posted the video http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=92392 Had we caught a light I would have really destroyed it. This was on the same mods he has but with 15 psi instead of the 17 he is running and we didn't have alky on the truck like he does.

The launch in that truck was way less than impressive and he can only leave with 9 psi. We were leaving the line with 15 and if felt like it. On another note, my black Ty that I always posted kills in actually was faster than my wife's Ty that I raced Ron in. I had TONS of witnesses that attested to that. So from experience and actually having been in it, I don't believe it could take a gt500 from a highway roll unless something else was going on. Maybe he was giving your girl a break? Like I said also in Ron's defense, had he said in the 1/4, I probably would have just said awesome job!! But from a highway roll? eh???? I'm iffy.

I told Ron I could help him get that thing running the way it should but have yet to hear from him, I have a feeling the truck will end up with a "dyno" tune and put 250 to the ground when it undoubtedly has 300 potential. All in all, Ron can just consider this a little peer pressure to to get that thing running the way it's supposed to. :lol:

I thought they were all S/C. My buddy who tunes says that stock 2012 gt500's put down 550-600 hp on his dyno-jet. I would think that from a roll they would be pretty nasty. Don't know about 06 gt500 though? Well the op must have some sick power .

It was S/C. I could hear it. Dont ask me what the deal was, maybe he was just screwing with us, but def was racing, cause when he had an open lane and we did not, he had his hand out the window pounding on the roof. or raising our roof. either way, i told it like it happened period

Mike I do want you to tune it, just dont have the funds at the moment. Its running better than the day you rode in it (sometimes). but i plan on getting that chip after the holidays, and then we can talk. sorry man, not dodging you, just busy. you know, you got a new baby too

I am not sure what actually happened but poor driver, missed gear or whatever the case, its still a win. I can say for sure that my Sy is fast but my GT500 KR will kill it everytime. The only case where my Sy would beat it is from a dead dig. Just my opinion but I own them both.
