Extended center armrest?

Cold today so I drove the truck to work. As usual, I was thinking how good it would be if I could actually rest my right arm on something level...like a raised armrest.

I remember in the Grand National world, somebody manufactured a raised armrest using the black and gray material to match the GN...and made for a more comfortable ride.

Has anyone done the equivalent with SyTys? If not, somebody with a sewing machine and some time needs to jump all over this. I'd buy one! Doesn't have to be leather, either.

I use a thick cd holder. It’s almost the same size as the armrest but makes the height about three inches higher. It makes things a lot more comfortable.

I remember seeing a Syclone on Ebay 4 or 5 years that had a 3"-4" thick pad Velcroed on the center console. It matched the seat upholestry; even had red piping.

I asked this before a while back. Someone on here, cant remember who now. Made this one I believe out of a old sy seat or something like that.. I've talked to someone local about making one, said it would cost anywhere from $75 to $175.

I've even thought about a bolt on style arm rest like some of the astro vans had. If done right I'm sure it would look factory. And if it folds up, it's almost like its not even there. But you might have to add some internal support.

^^ That's friggin' sweet! Exactly what I need, 'cept Typhoon style. Should've come that way from the factory...but ergonomics were not priority 1 with these trucks.

SyTyless......for now!
Re: Extended center armrest?

That Sy armrest is a cool idea, although the hinge for the lid would have to be at the back of the console (no big problem). I think something in the way of a padded leather one for a Typhoon would be cool, almost like what the rear passengers have above the wheel wells.
