I got the estimate today. Total came to 5600. So i'm not sure what to do now. It turned out being 3% short of a total, so I think they'll fix it. But, the other insurance company hasn't contacted me yet, so I dont know if they will still want to fix it or not. This happened like 3 or 4 days ago and I'm just now finding out the estimate. Car repairs take FOREVER, and insurance companies are the biggest hassle around. I can't wait for the inurance company to tell me that my truck isn't worth shit and they'll give me a check for 3000 to replace my Jimmy. I need someone to go off on and why not make it him. :D So we'll see what happens, because he is supposed to call me by tomorrow, and take it from there.

Hey that doesn't sound all that bad. I hope you get it fixed and done the way you want it.
Yeah the insurance companies are a PITA. It took me almost 3 weeks to get an estimate when my Blazer was wrecked :roll: They gave me all kinds of excusses, and then tried to give me less than 1/2 of what it was worth when they finally got around to looking at it :evil:

hahahahahha, i fixed my truck for half of that, and my truck was MUCH worse. :D

ohh wait, I haven't gotten it painted yet. :oops:

Yeah, winter beater is on the way. Got approved for a loan today, now I gotta go find one and pay the extra of what I want done on my ty. Thank god for loans!!!!!

Too bad to hear about the wreck, hope you get it fixed and ready for spring. I'll be back in Nebraska this spring, we will have to have a Nebraska meet. I've seen one white/grey ty in lincoln once, but couldn't chase him down :)

Dude, that sucks...sorry to see your Ty that way :-? I don't know about auto insurance claims, but I totaled my GSX-R 1000 last summer and like two days later I had a check in my hand for more than my payoff. Ended up buying the bike back for $2000 from the insurance company and turned around and sold it for $4500 with salvage title. Actually made money on the deal, but I would have preferred if it never happened.

BTW, your Ty doesn't look too bad. Keep us posted.

Consider yourself lucky Jeremy. From what I hear and have experienced, body shops and insurance companies royally suck. When you need something done quick, they never seem to get around to it. But they're always at your door asking for money, go figure!! I have decided to sell it as is, so if anyone's interested, email me or pm me.

sorry to hear about your truck. it looks almost like mine did when i got hit. i was estimated at 10,265.00 for mine. i say your guess was close. they didnt total mine out so you should be good.keep us posted
