Just curious, I know that last year, some people met in Monroeville (Pittsburgh) in the fall. Is anything being planned for this fall?

Yeah Steve/ baythan was talking about a Poconos meet in the fall and mark/ sy2206 I think was talking about something in or near Pittsburgh around the same time. Mark said he was flexible on where as long as its not super far from him.

What do you guys want to do? It's been a few years since I've been to the NE extrav, the only one I've been to was the first one. What events and stuff did you guys do? I know the one I went to, we all met at the hotel. Had dinner at Hooters one night, and when for a big group cruise. And went to the dragstrip the next day. Any of you guys who have been to the more recent ones, please chime in.
Pittsburgh Raceway Park, the local drag strip has a test-n-tune Sat Oct 24th. Late Oct, should be cool enough where the trucks will run good, but warm enough where it's not snowing and we won't have to walk around in parkas.

I had thoughts of replacing the annual Hooters NJ meet with something in the Poconos. Of course, in a perfect world I wouldn't have other obligations and planning a "new" meet would be a cakewalk. Hooters is a few phone calls. Poconos would be quite a bit more. So here we are in mid-August already and I haven't done sht.
If you go forward with an extravaganza, we can just keep the S.E. meet at Hooters (one day event). People could potentially do both.
We didn't do the track last August in Pittsburgh. We just kinda stood around and watched Don fix his truck. :lol: Then we went swimming.

The track renigged on us after we were already inked on their calendar. Was far from an ideal situation. I'm still mad at them for that.

What about doing something by Renz? Like State College, PA area. The reason I was trying to stay close to Pittsburgh is to attract the Michigan guys, and some other trucks from around Ohio here. I think Poconos will weed many of them out, it's too far east. However, I understand the further west it goes, it's going to weed out you guys in MA/NJ/NY ect.
State College seems pretty centrally located.
Thoughts? Should I start a poll thread with a couple different locations?
