Fan clutch/fluid(?) coupling

Anyone know info. regarding the aftermarket types which sill replace the original? I had seen some in the Summit catalog but will these be compatible? I would greatly appreciate comments/suggestions.

get a stock replacement from autozone, pep boys or dealer...dont get anything from those guys

There are some out there that have more drive when the engine compartment is cool. They waste more power. I have tried two replacements from (1) Pep Boys and (2) Auto zone on an 4.3 Vortec S-10. I specified for a Typhoon.

Neither one acted like the stocker that still spins on my Ty. A lot of WHOOSH when cool. Sucked power noticably. I don't know if there is a secret but the stock one on the Ty only kicks in when it's really hot. Just like it is supposed to.
