I have the record for the fastest stock turbo w/no methanol & pump 91 octane gas.
Stock original trans , stock un-ported turbo, stock torque converter , stock engine, stock down pipe, exhaust all the way to the back.

12.29 & 12.31 back to back @ 108 MPH running 19-20 psi
ATR pitbull street chip.

If you have a goal set for 12 seconds i have a
ATR strip chip for sale as a start this will

I need a goal to set myself to that's why I ask bout this I like goals!!

Sounds like we might have similar goals. I have a set of vortec heads extra intake that is worked a little and a few other parts but there are not going on until something happens to my stock motor. I was hoping I could get close to the stock record if not break it before I broke my motor. Haha

i also have vortech heads on another motor i have laying around.. But till my motor goes im leaving the current motor in the ty w/stock heads. When i first got the ty i got a best of 14.1, and ive fixed ALOT of little problems as in vac leaks, tune up, installed and chip that eric from tt been helping me with, and some weight loss. Im heading to track in morning to get another timeslip.. Also i will get to see the difference in times with and without the sportmachines dp when that comes out and is installed.

I was able to run 12.9 @ 103. Spinning all 4 with a 3psi Launch with a 1.79'. I only was able to make 16-17psi in 1st gear, the rest of the run was 20psi.

Back when I had stock ported turbo, 3" JSM DP/cat delete, stock injectors, alky, stock trans/stall. I'm sure I coulda got more out of it but decided to go big turbo.

Still running 15-16lbs for the street on straight 93. I did pump the tank the other day and put 10gallons of 116 in it since we were going to the track, but they decided not to run at the last minute. I was hoping to turn the boost up with that gas and see what the maximum I could run without knock. Then I am going to install my meth kit and see what the difference is with pump gas and meth. I did try a hole shot in the street leaving at 13lbs with drag radials front and rear and all I could do is laugh wondering what was going to break, it felt awsome.

Are you running meth yet? If I can get my issues fixed with my logging cable maybe we can bounce some programs and data logs back and forth.

Didn't Josh aka TookyCat have some pretty impressive times with a stock turbo? I thought he hit low 12's as well? Haven't heard from him in ages, he used to post some solid write ups.

Tooky ran a 12.26 with Alky and stock 2.5" Downpipe.

I haven't ran meth yet.. Straight 93 with 18psi with almost no knock. If it goes well tomorrow at track I might turn it up to twenty. I also have stock dp and injectors

If you are going to turn up the boost you should run your meth also. Do you have a stock fuel pump?
What alky kit do you have?

Damn.. How did you do it.. I'm depressed now that my truck is slow.

It is just a matter of doing a mod, adjust timing watch for knock & move onto the next mod.

I usually do not do more than one item/mod @ a time. Slow & steady improvements.:tup:

I really do not have enough time to really put a dent into my own projects.

Me & my friend have been using Moates autoprom 1, TP5 & dyno tuning.

We ( Sy/Ty guys) should have some get together this summer & see what we can do as far as simple mods & basic tuning.

My friend is pretty sharp when it comes to tuning & if you can get Moates equipment & TP5 up & running on you Sy/Ty's he can dyno tune it @ Simtec. http://simtecmotorsports.com/

So far I have made 396 HP & have flashed up to 604 ft lbs of torque @ 24 PSI on my 100% stock untouched engine. Also a stock trans & torque converter.

Mike Lee can get you a custom tune also.

One thing that helps a lot w/boosting is running a stiffer wastegate actuator,, but adding one will most likely not be ideal & should run an aftermarket boost controller.

What are your air intake temps, Any IC mods?

If that motor sucks hot air on 20 psi it won't matter what fuel you got in the tank.

I agree.. I'm just pulling my hair out trying to get rid of my knock as it is with no mods.. Great thread though. I love hearing how fast these stocker can run. Gives me some hope..lol
