can a 4dr auto srt ram really say the quote in your sig. that truck is a girls ride.

With just 3 mods I ran 12.7 @ 108 on stock tires in a 5500 lb grocery getter. Stock RC's are now in the 12's and QC's with just a programmer are in the 12's also.

Programming is a big deal. I took almost a second off of my times with tuning. And that is only on 17psi. Once you throw alky in the mix and turn the boost up you can't compare. So Alky, a good chip and exhaust will easily net you those times if not more.

You are persistent aren't you. I am glad I posted that vid because it IS proof that a SYTY can rape one of those "monsters". I was even in a TY which is usually a few tenths slower than a SY. 300 lbs more in weight.

I have yet to see a stock RC, completely stock (tires and all) even get close to 12's. Low 13's maybe with a skilled driver and excellent launch....

Finally uploaded the vid for this, sorry it took me so long guys. But all the talk about how amazing the SRT-10 is made me get motivated to just do it.

The only thing I would have done differently is added 2004 to the video title :). Was the SRT stock. The rims weren't so I am curious if the driver dislcosed and mods under the hood. None the less, he definately jumped outta the hole and to pass him in 1-2 seconds and then continue pulling on him was quite impressive cause I know how hard the SRT/10's pull once they are rolling! Great job, Mike

There is even a 12.5 run. It took a while for people to learn how to launch the stick shift with the 22 inch tires. The track times have been getting faster and faster over the past couple of years. One video of one truck losing doesn't really make all the overrated POS SRT-10's slow. Lots of QC's in the 12's with 1.8 60's (with just a flash).

Good job TYTILIDIE, that race was very decisive. Gotta ask, is that on a wet road? Looks like all the water mist being kicked up behind your TY when the camera pans back.

I put two vidoes of 12.9 stock SRT-10 1/4 mile passes on the other thread.

Skilled driver, good launch, good shifting, and some decent weather 12.7-12.9 can be had. More and more stock RC SRT-10's are getting into the 12's.

:rotf: :rotf: :rotf: Wet road??? Thats my TY smoking son  My Ty has always smoked no matter what I do. Even on the new motors. But to answer your question, it was bone dry. Tbone, he said he had a few mods but they didn't sound like anything that would really make a big difference. I believe the wheels were stock but could be wrong. And as for the date, this race took place in March 2007. What I would like to see from our visitors is a vid of ANY SRT10 truck beating a SYTY

You can't even make out the time on the board.....all I can see is the SRT/10 got beat by a quad cab pick-up. Videos don't show under hood mods either. Not doubting you but I had a SRT/10 and know what they are capable of in stock form. On the street, they are toast against a Syclone regardless of who is driving. On the track, they would have to get better traction to beat a Syclone than what the untimed video shows of the SRT/10. While the SRT/10 tires are squeeling, the Syclone is biting and gaining ground. Bottom Line is the Syclone is smaller, yet quicker in the fight....just like Oscar Delahoya. If you have any contacts around Nashville with a stock SRT/10, let me know and we can post a video of a run or two.

The centers looked black instead of Satin in the pic but it was a bit dark too.

Me too, brother~!! When they get a SRT/10 to bust 8's down the track like Robert, Bully and some others Syclones out there, I will be in awe. Really, a modded SRT/10 on the street would be an easier kill to me....they can't get traction in stock form as it is so more power would be anti-theoretical.

:D I was gonna ask if that was smoke, but I thought it would be an insult lol. Didn't look like the stock rims but hard to tell, no matter what mods he had the driver mod matters most with these trucks. What's your TY run in the 1/4? Launch looks solid, even with all the smoke lol.

The extended cab Chevy is a 6.0 auto with a progressive dual stage 250 shot of nitrous on full slicks, it moves out damn good. The SRT was reeling him in but ran out of track, E.T. for that run was 12.9, by the way they were moving I totally believe it. The other video the 12.9@108mph is all the way at the very end against the Mustang but shows the time clearly, some nice trucks on that vid. Gotta give props to some fast L's too

What was your best times in stock form with your SRT-10? If ya got any slips we can analyze them. Also what was it? RC, QC, 04, 05, 06?

Mine was a red 2004 RC with an aftermarket exhaust upgrade only. Never took it to the track but did race it on an open highway against a friend who has a slightly modded Typhoon and although by itself, it feels and sounds VERY stout, Jimmy annihilated me in the Typhoon. The conditions were NOT in my favor though. Temp 40-50 and street pavement was cold. Couldn't even hook in 1-3 and by that time, he was 14 bus lengths ahead. My brother visited me over the summer and I ran my modded Syclone against him. It was an ugly, ugly defeat for the SRT/10. Then, I came home and took my stock 2004 Saleen SC out against the SRT/10. 1st run, he got me by a car length at 100 MPH because the traction control was on and the car shut down in first. Re-ran with TC off and we were dead even through 100 MPH. I was impressed it could keep up with the Saleen (which runs dead even with a 03-04 Cobra (13.3 in the 1/4). In the end, I let the SRT/10 go and replaced it with a 1993 Typhoon I am currently dropping a LS1 / 6 speed into and another Syclone which is all original and runs super strong. I have been through 2 professional race driving schools and held my AMA license to race motorcycles in the 600 class so I feel pretty certain I can launch a vehicle close to its limits although I never wind my vehicles close to the red when shifting, nor power shift them. That may have gained me a teency bit with the SRT/10 on a good day but I don't grossly abuse my toys :).

I guy I know from my local forums here has a little stock body short bed pickup with a low budget ls build with a single turbo and a six speed that's a total sleeper! Here's the video from a few months back......he's the last race in the video...short bed white 2wd GMC pickup with et streets.

Re: Finally raced RAM SRT-10

I refrain my comment on if a stock sy could take an SRT-10 RAM. I think the RAM is in trouble at the track and on the street reguardless of the driver. :2cents:
