I know, it was quite a unique story that had a great ending! Who would have thought that seeing a rusted out syclone sitting in some guy's field would have lead to me purchasing an aspen Ty from him!!

it was painted wrong, that was a common problem with certain colors of gm paint of that era

You know, it looks like where the windshield wiper fluid would roll off too. I wonder?

Highly doubtful based on the production date of this truck and the filming of the movie, however there is documentation of it being leased to WBP. The Aspen in LW3 did not have a wiper assy on the rear hatch; 0404 has one. Pretty sure I located the real LW3 Aspen in a warehouse in northern Alabama. More to follow........................

Just to answer a couple quick questions, the truck has 75k miles on it. Yes, the rear seat is all leather too just like the fronts. From what I can tell, these fronts are 100% identical to originals with the lumbar pumps and all so not sure the story on those.

As for it being the LW3 typhoon, we may never really know but my speculation is that THIS IS the truck. I just looked at the door tag and powercat was correct, build date is 10/19/91 which corresponds with the filming of the movie and the WB contract states this truck's vin. Not sure if anyone else noticed in the other thread but this was also the truck that appeared in Falling Down as well.

To me it looks like this truck has a rear wiper assembly....

Could be but it also appears to be a shadow of sorts. It is just so hard to tell.

The one in the LW3 pic has the cloth sides on the PS seat....Brian showed pics of his and it was all leather :dunno:

Are the cutouts on the rims painted darker? Looks like it in the movie pics too.
