I was probably in the top 10 registering for this brand new board,when it was posted on the list. Anybody know what the first thread ever was?

IIRC it was Keith and Adam ripping on each other.Something aboot dry rotted worn out SVX's.

Did your join date get reset for some reason? I know of plenty of people registered well before 07/01, and it seems like you were on before then. Just curious.

That does seem right though, worn out tires as the first thread.

Yeah it did change. I originally signed up on my WebTV :rotf:

I signed up the first day it was posted on the list.Probaby within the hour. :lol:

I was looking for the first thread ever the other day, but couldn't find it. Kinda funny that this topic comes up now.

Their was a crash in 2002, a good portion of post have been lost before then.

I had no idea when the forum was actually started, I start reading regular/religously in Jan 2001 (I registered in Feb 01) and I had a read it a few times in 2000.

Yes there have been many upgrades/crashes etc in the past years. I too was thinking about the first thread ever. I'm sure if we dig long enough we'll find it.

He is user #73 and you are user #80. He joined before you did. Any admin can go into his profile and change the join date.

no, its not most likely what happened. nobody has any reason to change dates randomly and its pretty hard to do accidentally.

what happened was probably what Keith already said, was with the forum changes and ugrades over the years, especially with the transfer over to vbulletin and some people jumping the gun, finding the new forum and making new accounts instead of waiting for the database to transfer over, ect ect, thats what screwed up post counts, join dates and everything else.

nobody pissed in anyones cheerios, and if one of us is stumped on how to run or change anything on the forum, we'll be sure to ask you first.

We went from Ultimate BB to phpBB then finally to Vbulletin. So from all those changes stuff got messed up a little. but we kept most of the posts.
