i wish the others would get their ass in gear and start attending events or participating a bit more on the list when asking questions or planning stuff. **hint, hint* hardcores excluded.....

the 2 big ones are memorial and the miami meet. we've moved around memorial now for the past few years to hopefully get more interest. gone from st pete, orlando, daytona.
miami we do at the end of january since nov/dec get crazy with family, turkey day, and xmas......however, due to me and ian living in deltona now, seems like the turkey rod run will become a regular event for us.... i know gary will probably come up and hang out for that one too. might consider to gather up people for that, even if its just to meet up and go check out the scene without the trucks (rather drive the 65 anyhow... more fitting to the show)
we used to do alot of small gatherings in orlando or tampa..... go to the winghouse or hooters.
GAST has done a few meets at the Silver Dollar Raceway and one in Savannah. The 2 that i went to were really fun.
youd expect with only 2 bigass events during the year, we'd have more major turnout. Last biggest event we did was 40+/- trucks in Naples 99. Id really like to see more of the FL group get involved. We have what..... 170 known trucks in this state? Com'n... we should be having meets of 40-50 average. We have 63 members on the FL mailing list. Ive been really disappointed over the past 2 years or so with low truck count at the meets.
Yeah, for the hardcores its not so much about the trucks anymore for us as it is hanging out with friends, but at least we come regardless. Obviously we want trucks there, but its not a reason not to come if your truck cant. My stupid ass hasnt had my truck for the past 2 meets, yet I was still there doing my dumbass things as usual.
To me, the noobs have no excuse yet if and when they come....to me, you aint officially part of FAST until you show up to at least 2 meets.
I just want to see more participation thats all.....
