Flywheel Cover holes

What are the two, appear to be threaded, holes for at the bottom of the Flywheel cover? Is something supposed to go in them?

you mean the 4 holes 2 on each side that hold the inspection plate on? yes they came with them but 99% of us leave them off so you get better cooling of the TC.

those two holes are universal. on some other vehicles they are for attaching a brace to the engine on each side.
i think on syty's one of the holes is used to attach a clamp/bracket to hold the trans lines in place.

Thats what mine did.
pass side had a bracket for the trans lines.

I mean the 2 threaded holes on the bottom of the inspection plate. Doesn't that plate/cover protect the flywheel? Also, I did drop it a little to remove the starter. It looks like to take it off, you need to remove the prop shaft.
