My fog light switch has 3 positions:

1. left - fog lights on when high beam headlights on
2. middle - fog lights off all the time
3. right - fog lights on when low beam headlights on

and the yellow indicator light in the switch is on only when the fog lights are on.

Where did you get your foglight switch from Astro van? Mine only lights up with parklights and low beam.

I am installing Hella HID into the foglight housing and would like the foglight to say on with the high beam.

Driving Lights:

While the fog lights in all cases above are wired up to operate in conjunction with the dipped (low) beam, Driving lights (spot lights) are wired up to operate with main (high) beam and throw light as far down the road as possible. Again we choose to work with quality Hella products as the basis for most of our driving light conversions. The Hella FF50 unit is a compact driving light with a good beam that suits motorcycles well. HID50 supply a fully converted pair of 35 watt HID Hella FF50 driving lights that will throw as much light forward as a pair of 130 watt Halogen spot lights. For the ultimate in evening lighting, the hard core rider may even choose to go for an 50 watt FF50 conversion that will do the job of a 4 (yes four) x 100 watt halogen spotlights. i too have a 3 position switch. it is faded, and not really nice, so i replaced it.

much to my surprise, with a 2 position one.

if anyone wants a 3 position one, i have it, and will ship it out cheap. :tup:

edit, in this OLD pic, you can see the switch in the "middle" position.

and in this pic, you can see how ther light came out of the side of it, so i replaced it..........

Interesting the dealer list only a 2 position fog light switch for Sy/Ty and 90 Astro van have 3 position, more crossover parts.

My truck also has the 3 pos. switch. Just got my new switch in from GM and its only a two. Im having a problem with when the fogs are on the fuse will blow but wont if i dont run the lamps.
