... for the bigdawgz@the board - UPDATE 2: nomore code42

hi guys,

what happend :

feeling kinda baby-overboost above ~ 7psi

- but : no codes :dunno:

bonestock engine ( ~ 18Kmls), turbo (rebuilt and ok) , wg, chip, etc.
vaclines (samco) new, cap + rotor (borg-warner) new, wires (taylor) new, plugs (ngk), module (Accel), coil (msd) ok ...

... mods so far : all the free mods done, ATR headers + catback, coldair, 255 FP, AFPR @ 45psi, intake+TB gaskets new

so : is it possible that the probs occur because of the headers (more filling), wires, plugs ?

next prob : the ATR headers need the wires to be routed different cuz of the boots on 1st cylinder - so i changed 1st w/ 4th, etc. could that cause the probs (surely routed the right way at the cap ;) )?

what wires are you running w/ the ATR headers ?

happy for every idea

TIA, pat.

Re: ... for the bigdawgz @ the board - solution needed

overboost is getting over the14.7psi on a stock chip..
i don't understand what you mean with overboosting above 7psi.
as for the wires, i just ran the normal wires, and really had no problems, i geuss you have the old headers from me?

is not really an overboost, i know - but it feels a little like it ... don't know how i an describe it better :?

and yes, i ve got your headers - what was your experiance ???

will go one step back and swap the wires back to the stock ones - but what did you do with #1 wire ??? (the large, streight one w/ heatshield) also changed it with an other cyl.wire ?

btw.: read the truck at idle ("allen" analyse) - everything just as fine as it could be :squint:

- whats your suggestion ???

thx, pat.

you need datamaster, and i didn't run into any issues with the wires.

and if i were you wouldnt get on the throttle, maybe your getting some spark retard.

but datamaster won't gimme advice on ignition, aye ???
... so what should it help, anything else's fine :banghead:

you mentioned no issues w/ ATRheaders and wires, so what did you do with #1 wire ?

TIA, pat.

sounds logic, but what will help or be the consequence ? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

... nearly all the ignition items are brandnew - except the plugs ... will be swapped ASAP back to delcos :squint:

please repost,

Re: ... for the bigdawgz @ the board - solution needed

well, if you are getting alot of sparkretard, you will need an engine again.
get Datamaster, you are risking your money with this.
it can be ignition related of feulrelated, did you swap the feulpump?what's your FP

... UPDATE !!!

today pulled code 42 ... could corrosion on tan-wire- connector cause this ??? (timing was set 2 days ago ...)
put magic-spice on it (WD40 ;) ), cleared code, let idle for more than 1 minute -
no code anymore :dunno:

if i'm right thats the way the SM tells, aye - but one thing : it says "idle for 1 minute or till code comes" ... should i have let it idle longer ?
- or does it mean, if after 1 minute no code - everythings fine ?

does code 42 cause a kind "limp-mode" means savetyprogramm ?

*confusion*

please help, pat.

btw.: searched "code 42" on the board, but it only retells the SM :(

Re: ... for the bigdawgz @ the board - UPDATE: code42 !!!

overtight is possible - do you know the right torque ?

... and the rusty connector of the tan wire could not be an issue ?

Re: ... for the bigdawgz@the board - UPDATE 2: nomore code42

you need the ****ing datamster, these trucks can me a nightmare, like mentioned before, you can have manyproblems, feuling, voltage, ignition, you name it!
please, just go out and buy datamaster, there is a cuy named peter somewhere in your country, he makes them, or just buy them from PPI Typhoon here on the board, it's only a few dollars, and believe me or not, you ****ed up your old engine, and you are going to do this again to your current one.
