Ran out of space in the subject line.

Anyway, what kinda air pressure are you guys running at the strip?

I'm looking to get to Atco in a week or so and see if I can improve my ET's!! :D

TIA

Damn that seems really low, but with the time in your sig, and that MPH  , I gotta think it's working.

ya it works and after the burnout I 'd guess it comes up to abour 15-17.

i run about 15 or 16. how does yours handle downtrack. no wandering or acting like a boat in the waves. you won't spin the tires off. kind of got to experiment to see where your best times are and at what pressure

Well, I did get to the strip this past weekend, and the 60's are about the only good things I can say for the trip. Set the BFG DR's at 18psi all around and pulled multiple 1.60's w/ a 4-5psi launch. A new best for my truck. My previous best was 1.67. I'm sure track prep played a big part as I don't do any kind of burnout.

Otherwise, we were racing directly into a stiff headwind. I sandbagged it for my first 4 of 5 runs attempting NOT to run 11's, as I have no rollcage and didn't wan't to get tossed too soon. My ignition was breaking up when the TC locked up, so I kept it unlocked for my last, and only WOT full 1/4 pass. I figure at about the 1/8th on that pass is when I lost a cylinder and still ran a 11.49/113. Now the engine is making some noise which sounds like a valvetrain prob to me, but we have yet to check it out as the rainy weather is really sucking this whole week. 0X

(Though I still had fun utterly destroying my Bud's ZO6 off the line-Twice!! :D )

regarding not doing any kind of burnout, try driving around the waterbox and doing a little dry hop up to the line to warm em up a little. sometimes i even back up and do 2. just be careful theres no track guy standing in front of you by the tree when you do it. they get a little touchy about that :-? it'll help warm em up and it really does help

How much of a difference did it make in your 60ft et's without the dry hop?

it kind of depends on the track. also i just got new drag radials. when i was at the sporttruck nationals this summer we we're running 10.6's in the heat with a fat tune and hotter than heck and 100 percent humidity. in the finals we did 2 hops and went into the mid 10.4's and that's the only thing we changed was 2 hops instead of 1

my best before was 1.52 on the old, and without even tryin the first day on the new ones with 26 pounds of air went 1.56

i think it has to do with how much horsepower you make whether you spin them downtrack or not when they're hot. jim hoover has the same traction issue. we call it skating. this is an instance where the awd does not help us.

What is a "hop"? I am a Pontiac guy and I know what a burnout is but how would you do a hop? Do you just distance yourself a little in front of the waterbox then put on the brakes and nail the gas like a burnout? Is this very consistant w/you 60ft's?
