Found collision damage to frame!

Since i'm doing alot of work to the sy. Getting ready for Tom's party. I have started to change alot of parts. I started by changing the upper and lower balljoints. Bushings, Steering shaft, zq8 steering box and a bunch of other junk. It was while unbolting the heat exchanger to remove the steering box. I started looking at everything and there it was. The damage is to the front of the frame where the bumper attaches too. I can see the crappy welds. A new 3 or 4 inch piece thats been welded.
I always thought that it was odd that the trucks body is extremely clean, but the front bumper cover to the drivers side is just not right. So much for a running a Carfax. It's amazing that some people just do not take care of these vehicles. I'll take a pic and post it here soon. I'll call a buddy to does body and double check that the frame is true and straight.

not taking care of it would be leaving it as is. At least it was "fixed' at all.

This truck was neglected. Let me list the problems. Let me remind you that it was a 50,000 mile truck when i bought it. On its maiden voyage. Head gasket blew even before i got into the mojave desert. Steering started wobbling. Torsion bars were not set up to proper height. One side lower than the other. Ball joints, and the list goes on.
In my first week ownership. I was already looking to purchase an engine.

Man, that does suck...but at least you own it and you have your blood, sweat, tears, and $$$ into it now. I'll see you at Tom's.

man sounds like syclone when i purchased it, and it still sitting in my garage doing nothing.....but it looks like its going to canada.....

Are you sure? Did you compare it to the frame on the other side? I know that the last few inches of the frame are welded on from the factory and they kinda step up to meet with the bumper cover.. The factory welds are VERY crappy.. Maybe you are just seeing these?

I'll go and take pics tommorow. Factory welds are not that great. But this weld looks home made. I'll hopefully have it finished by Tom's party.
My wife said she is going to start a syclone fund. I know she wants a typhoon. I'll probly surprise her soon. I'll make sure to inspect everything.
