Well after wondering what all the noises are coming from my front right wheel, i found the problem...

this is the back side of my pass. front wheel, the first time i looked at it the boot was all ripped up, so i cut the rest of it off, and didnt see anything, then today i drove it around the block for the first time in 3 months, then looked and that... is this something i can fix with a very limited amount of tools, and knowledge, or should i just take it to a shop to get fixed?

After you clean up those bearings make sure that they are still very shiny. If they look dull, you need new ones.

i know this is an old post, but im finally getting around to getting this shit done...

i called napa and just for fun i called the dealer... both are telling me that i have to replace the entire hub???? $489 for the part and 4 hours labor if i want them to do it.

is this accurate? or are they trying to take me for a ride?
